Layering Rules

Posted on 2025-02-11 Updated on 2024-12-13

To promote disciplined and controlled trading, FPFX enforces a Layering Rule that limits the number of layers allowed in a single trade sequence.

Rule Details

 Maximum Layers Allowed

  • A trader can use a maximum of 2 layers for any single trade or trading strategy.

Strict Prohibition on Excess Layers

  •     Using more than 2 layers is considered a hard breach of the rules and will result in immediate account termination.

What is Layering?

  • Layering refers to placing multiple orders (or trades) in close succession or within the same strategy to scale into or out of a position.

Purpose of the Rule

  • This rule ensures traders do not over-leverage their positions by adding excessive layers, which could lead to higher risk exposure and violate sound risk management principles.
